The Benicia Unified School District educates approximately 4,900 students, employs 220 teachers and 150 classified employees.

Ranked as the best school district in Solano County by (August 2017) Benicia Unified is home to 4 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 2 high schools. In 2017, Benicia Middle School and Benicia High School were awarded the title of 2017 California Gold Ribbon Schools.
