Good News for Restaurants

The U.S. Treasury Dept. has made a small, but significant, adjustment to Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) rules to help restaurants whose furloughed employees opt out of returning to their old jobs. Now Treasury will not lower the forgiven amount of a PPP loan if an employee declines to return to work.
