How Are We Doing?
Thanks to the 569 Benicia residents who responded to the National Community Survey in January. The results are in, and you can see how Benicia rated on a variety of livability measures compared to previous surveys and compared to households throughout the U.S.
In short:
Benicia residents experience a high quality of life and strong sense of community.
The community design of Benicia and its natural environment are strong community features.
While ease of travel in Benicia is viewed favorably, residents have some concerns about the condition of city streets.
Residents appreciate many aspects of the local economy but show concern about general affordability and their own economic outlook.
The survey was mailed to 2,800 randomly selected households and 21% of those recipients chose to participate. You can find all of the results here (follow the tabs!):
